The Nelsons Return to the O.C.
Headlining Southern California’s
Longest-Running Summer Concert Series
Los Angeles, CA June 18, 2007 --
Matthew
& Gunnar Nelson will headline Southern California’s Longest-Running
Summer Concert Series when they perform live in concert at Fashion Island
in Newport Beach on Wednesday, July 25th.
Matthew Nelson and Gunnar
Nelson are the twin sons of Rock’n’Roll Legend Ricky Nelson,
of rock group NELSON whose pop/rock hits include “(Can’t Live Without Your)
Love and Affection”, “After the Rain”, and “More Than Ever”. As the
grandsons of TV’s Ozzie & Harriet, they are part of America’s
First Family of Entertainment. In fact, “Love and Affection” put the Nelson
family in the Guinness Book of World Records as the ONLY family with 3
generations of #1 hits. Ozzie with “And Then Some” in 1934, Ricky
with “Poor Little Fool” in 1960 and “Travelin’ Man” in 1962, and Nelson
with “(Can’t Live Without Your) Love and Affection” in 1990.
The Nelson Brothers are performing
outdoors in the Fashion Island Summer Concert Series on Wednesday,
July 25th at 7:00pm (in Bloomingdale’s courtyard), in Newport
Center, Newport Beach.
The Nelson Brothers’ show, ‘Remembering
Ricky Nelson’, features a tribute to their late father’s popular music
including his famous hits. The Nelson Brothers plan to perform their
new rendition of Ricky Nelson’s “Travelin’ Man”, recently released on the
exclusive Target CD, “A Song for My Father”.
“Southern California is our home.
We have great summer memories of the Nelson house in Laguna Beach, so we
love performing outdoors here,” says Matthew Nelson.
Gunnar Nelson adds, “We’re
excited to be a part of the longest running concert series in Southern
California!”
